The evidence

Holdings, weights & update frequency

01

What does the service offer?

Seeking Alpha lists model portfolios, monthly portfolio updates, live chat and direct access to Steven Bavaria. Public listings distinguish a Core model, a Taxable model and KISS & DRIP models. These are different portfolios, not one universal list.

02

Is his personal portfolio included?

Yes, personal holdings updates are explicitly published for members. In a public preview, Bavaria says he shares his own holdings for transparency and does not intend them as a recommended model portfolio. Choose deliberately between his personal account and a model.

Extended review · September 21, 2026

Strategy, evidence & practical fit

The service offers several distinct ways to apply the philosophy. A small live model is especially relevant to evaluating a reproducible allocation; a long research list serves a different purpose.

Which portfolio are we talking about?

Personal portfolio

Bavaria’s own holdings, disclosed for transparency. The recent trial post includes access, but his personal account is not presented as a recommendation to copy.

Core model

Originally designed for long-term, tax-deferred accounts. In a 2025 webinar Bavaria described about 39 funds and BDCs; that is a historical description, not a verified current count.

Taxable model

A separately maintained portfolio with its own 2026 updates. Its account label does not establish the tax treatment for an individual investor.

Live KISS & DRIP models

Simplified portfolios with reinvested distributions. Published updates distinguish Core, Taxable, Credit-Only and experimental CLO-focused versions; they should not be combined into one allocation.

01

What makes the live models useful?

In his 2025 webinar, Bavaria described smaller 10- or 14-position models held with real money at Fidelity, giving $3,000 per position as an example. That supports actual-account tracking, but does not establish today’s position sizes. Reinvestment and price movements change the weights.

02

How does the strategy create growth?

The central mechanism is to reinvest distributions into more income-producing assets. If all distributions are spent, that source of compounding is removed. Our assessment: compare the amount available to reinvest, the durability of the payout and total return together, rather than judging a model by headline yield.

04

How should we compare performance?

The member listing reports NAV returns, market-price returns and cash yields as separate figures. For a replica, use the same dated account history and reinvestment assumptions. An average of constituent funds’ returns is not automatically the return of an actual portfolio with changing weights.

05

What are the trial and refund conditions?

Bavaria advertises 14 days, but Seeking Alpha limits free trials to one per service per lifetime and charges unless cancelled before the end. Its general annual Investing Group refund policy returns the unused 11 months when eligible first-time subscribers cancel within 30 days; monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Confirm which offer the checkout applies.

06

Where would the portfolio data be?

Seeking Alpha’s support guide places model portfolios and other member materials under the Investing Group’s Resources area. The latest Analysis posts may contain later changes. Its help pages distinguish Investing Groups from general Premium; verify the named Income Factory service rather than assuming a platform-wide plan includes it.

What still needs a direct answer

These details were not established by the public sources.

  • What is the exact renewal price, billing interval and trial end date for this account?
  • Which live model has a complete current allocation, including cash, shares or percentage weights and an as-of date?
  • Does the history include every trade and reinvestment, and are reported returns based on the live account or an average of funds?
  • Are there downloadable holdings and an update notification for each change? What use of member data on another website is permitted?
Our assessment

Evaluate one live model before choosing a replica

Our assessment: the small live Core or Taxable model is a more concrete replication candidate to inspect than treating every discussed fund as a holding. The 14-day offer provides an advertised route to evaluate the data. Current allocations, renewal price and any data-reuse permission remain unverified.

Practical next step

Inspect the offer’s billing terms, then locate one model’s latest Resources table and subsequent updates. Keep its current weights separate from the original investment amounts and from our independent 20-holding model.
